First Mathematics Challenge and Primary Mathematics Challenge entry
Eligibility for Challenges
Unless otherwise stated, our Challenges are only open to entry from a school and not to individual students or parents.
By placing an order for entry to a Challenge, you accept responsibility for ensuring that only eligible students take part and that the Challenge is taken during the dates specified by us. Failure to do so may lead to the withholding of Challenge results, disqualification from follow-on rounds or any other measure that we deem appropriate.
By placing an order on behalf of school, you confirm that you have any necessary authority and permission to do so.
It is essential that you follow your organisation’s rules and include any appropriate information when placing your order; for example, providing an official purchase order number at the point of purchase if this is required to be displayed on the invoice. Note if payment is delayed due to a missing Purchase Order number you may not receive the Challenge packs in time.
We reserve the right to refuse any order if we believe there is a legitimate reason for doing so.
The Challenge papers are copyright protected and may not be copied without the permission of the Mathematical Association. If receiving the paper to download, copies of the paper must not exceed those paid for. We will invoice for a full pack of papers in this instance.
Payment is due by the date displayed on the invoice.
Payment must be made in sterling. You are liable for any bank charges incurred for paying by sterling.
By placing an order, you are accepting responsibility for ensuring that the invoice is paid in full and on time.
Failure to meet these payment terms means your packs or access links may not be received on time, or in the case of non-payment they will not be received until payment has cleared.
We will send Challenge papers/ access details for the attention of the person named during the checkout process at least one week before the date of the competition, where we have received your entry at least 10 days before the competition.
Cancellations and returns
If for any reason you no longer want to participate in a Challenge, then you may withdraw your order. A refund of any entry fees paid will be issued provided you notify us at least 30 calendar days before the date of the competition and provided we have not already dispatched the competition paper.
Cancellations received with less than 30 days to the competition will be offered a credit note.
